About Us

Pixel Dash Studios is a full-service award-winning development studio housed in the Louisiana Technology Park, a Baton Rouge based technology incubator program that provides administrative assistance and state-of-the-art tools for tech companies.

Since its founding in 2010, Pixel Dash Studios has gone on to:

Pixel Dash Studios works closely with the community providing career shadowing opportunities for high schoolers as well as offering internship opportunities for university students, and leading the local chapter of the International Game Developer’s Association (IGDA). Pixel Dash also serves as a mentor to several game developers who’ve been accepted into the local video game incubator called Level Up Lab.

Lead Game Designer

Baton Rouge, LA

Pixel Dash Studios is seeking an experienced game designer with a passion for game development, experience shipping games, and the ability to lead the design efforts of the project.

We work on both original game development and client projects including mobile, PC, console, and VR. Candidates should have a willingness to work on a variety of different projects, genres, engines, and platforms. You will be responsible for creative vision of game projects, communicating the vision to the team, and working with engineering and art leads to direct the development of the product.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience within games industry
  • Experience working with Unity or Unreal engines
  • Experience in creating and owning features for games
  • Strong ability to design and implement game systems
  • Natural ability for problem solving without outside direction
  • Well organized and can plan tasks for engineers and artists
  • Willingness to work on various projects of different size, genre, engine and platform
  • Ability to communicate and work well within an interdisciplinary team


Lead Game Engineer

Baton Rouge, LA

Pixel Dash Studios is seeking an experienced software engineer with a passion for game development, experience shipping games, and the ability to lead the engineering efforts of the project.

We work on both original game development and client projects including mobile, PC, console, and VR. Candidates should have a willingness to work on a variety of different projects, genres, engines, and platforms. You will be expected to deliver flexible, performant, and well designed code for new games and within existing codebases. You will be responsible for software architecture, directing other engineers, and working with art and creative leads to determine appropriate technical direction.

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience within games industry
  • Good understanding of programming in C++ or C#
  • Experience working with Unity or Unreal engines
  • Strong ability to design and implement game systems
  • Natural ability for problem solving without outside direction

Game Software Engineer

Baton Rouge, LA

Pixel Dash Studios is seeking a talented software engineer with a passion for game development who can work self-directed and within a team. Engineers are expected to design, implement, and modify game features while collaborating with other engineers, artists, and designers.

We work on both original game development and client projects including mobile, PC, console, and VR. Candidates should have a willingness to work on a variety of different projects, genres, and platforms. You will be expected to deliver flexible, performant, and well designed code for new games and within existing codebases. As a small studio, each member of our team has the opportunity to own large parts of the games we develop and contribute to the design process.

Requirements

  • Experience developing games either as a student or within professional studio
  • Good understanding of programming in C++ or C#
  • Experience working with Unity or Unreal engines
  • Willingness to work on various projects of different size, genre, and platform
  • Ability to communicate and work well within an interdisciplinary team
